This client is a global Fund Administrator offering both accounting and middle office outsourced functions with multi-currency transactions, complex fund structures, and multi-asset classes including private bank debt. The client had not upgraded Advent Geneva in 10 years. They, therefore, required an extensive Advent Geneva upgrade across their offices worldwide. To achieve operational efficiencies and maintain a steady growth pace, they needed to upgrade from version 10 to 20, alongside moving hosting services across to AWS.

Ievers executed a current state review of existing workflows and integration points through user interviews and technical analysis. We conducted a thorough client-centric analysis of business impacts between versions while aligning the upgrade with business needs. We performed a deep dive system-reconciliation analysis to fully assess the challenges with such a significant upgrade. Ievers also utilized vendor and proprietary tools to conduct a thorough data analysis inclusive of custom and canned report migration and report testing, including leveraging Geneva Migration Manager (GMM).

Ievers proudly delivered a fully reconciled version of SS&C Advent Geneva v20, alongside global training support to end users on new functionality, as well as both operational and accounting enhancements in the new version. We also provided a post-upgrade client-centric document detailing systemwide changes, accounting, and operational impacts relating to features and code changes relating to the client’s version release and business needs.
